Fly Fishing for Trout

Fly fishing for brook trout, one or two persons, $250/outing

Lancaster County and neighboring York County have great opportunities for brook trout fishing. These beautiful native trout are a blast to catch and where you find them you also find beautiful nature.

We'll walk upstream along a small wooded stream and target pools and pockets. If you have not fished for brook trout before then you will learn where to find them, how to approach them, and what to offer them. Depending on your skill level we will also work on your technique and make sure that you are able to cast without getting snagged.

You need to have a valid PA fishing license with a trout stamp. Flies and leaders are included, but you are expected to bring your own fishing rod and waders. However, if you don't have equipment please contact us since we may be able to lend you some and can direct you to a good shop for the rest. Depending on the time of day you may also want to pack a lunch.
Euro Nymphing for trout, one or two persons, $250/outing

The euronymphing outing will take place on the Litiz Run which is a healthy fishery with large trout. Lititz Run is a spring creek and it is a perfect stream for euronymphing since it has many pools, riffles, and hidden pockets.
We will walk along the stream and target trout hideouts while perfecting our nymphing technique. If you already know how to euronymph you will receive location-specific guidance, and if you are new to euronymphing then you will receive instruction on how to euronymph successfully.
